B. Byambajav (Byambaa) was the first interviewer for the Oral History Project. In addition to working on The Oral History of Twentieth Century Mongolia, Byambaa is a research fellow at the International Association of Mongol Studies, in Ulaanbaatar.

Byambajav was educated in India and Mongolia, and has a strong interest in Buddhism, and has published several books on Buddhist meditation. He also has extensive experience working as a translator and knows a wide variety of languages in addition to Mongolian and English.
